As I wrote in my previous post, my skin completely betrayed me when I moved to Seattle, it was awful! But it taught me the beauty of a routine....the beauty of beauty routine if you will. We are all lazy when it comes to skin care from time to time but if you get in the habit of taking care of your skin eventually you'll just consider it part of your day to day tasks.
Here's my routine:
I get home from work and immediately take my makeup off; if I am not going anywhere there is no reason to keep my makeup on while I am at home. I usually use the Daily Refining Scrub, it is exfoliating and smells like Froot Loops!
After washing my face I go make dinner, make my lunch for the next day, and then I usually go for a short walk.
When I get back home I put on whatever mask I want for that night and go read a chapter in my book or watch an episode of one of my shows while the mask settles in. This is awesome because I can catch up on my reading/shows (which may or may not be Bachelor in Paradise, it's okay to judge me because I am judging myself) and it means I won't just lay in bed all night since I have to get up and wash the mask off.
Once I wash the mask off, I dry my skin and apply our Antioxidant Light Moisturizer, brush my teeth, and end with a spritz of our Blue Flame Purifying Toning Mist (soooo refreshing!!).
It may seem like a hassle to have such a strict daily routine (especially if you're a sloth like me) but the pay off is incredibly worth it guys!! It helps me feel relaxed and my skin has never looked or felt better!
So my homework for all my beautiful readers is to start your own routine!! See what works for you and try to keep up with it for 21 days (as it has been proven that it takes 21 days to make something a habit). I expect a 5 page report on my desk in three weeks...kidding! But I would love to hear everyone's results!
Until next time, cheers to good times and good skin
